Housed in the rather impressive Spanish City redevelopment, just off the seafront at Whitley Bay, I assumed this micropub was formerly a sister pub to the micropub that has closed in Newcastle. However, now I'm not so sure.

There is a small, single room with a tiled floor and limited seating. We ended up sharing a table with another guy. There is an outdoor seating area to the front, which wasn't too appealing on a windy evening.

5 handpulls at the bar, with one clip turned round. This left the house beer from Three Kings (Clever Chimp 2), along with a couple of guests (Shiny Affinity & Siren Broken Dream) and a cider (Lilley's Pina Colada). Keg beers included Schofferhoffer Grapefruit, Super 8 Cherry, Tiny Rebel Clwb Tropica, Fierce Beer Iron Brew, Beavertown Neck Oil & Three Kings Dark Side of the Toon. A fridge to the right-hand side of the bar contained soft drinks, sprits, prosecco and some cans and bottles. Meanwhile, shots and a cocktail menu were also promoted.

There are a couple of TV screens. The one on the right-hand wall displayed the Untappd list of beers. On the opposite wall, the screen was showing a music channel with sound. There was also a guitar on this wall, the significance of which I am not sure.

Not a bad option at all if in Whitley Bay. There is also a bottle shop which dispenses craft beers called Hazy Daze a few doors up. We were going to give it a try, but it was empty when we first went past and closed (closes at 7 on a Saturday) the second time.
